Spread a smile

 

The Macallan, Spread a Smile program is a unique opportunity for Macallan staff and students to contribute to the wider community in the form of volunteer work donations engagement and recognition of individual achievements.

Spread a Smile was launched in July 2020, at the Brisbane Macallan campus in Yeerongpilly by Lord Mayor Adrain Schrinner and Lady Mayoress Nina Schrinner.

On behalf of Macallan College, PEO Debbie Phipps, donated $10,000 to Lord Mayors Charitable trust, and organisation that has been spreading smiles and assisting people in Brisbane for nearly 60 years.

Macallan were privileged to host honourable guests at the exclusive launch including, Usha/Umesh Chandra OAM- 2019 Citizen’s of the year and Gopio representatives.

The LNP candidate for McConnel and community Leader who was recognised for her ongoing community work during the evening, Pinky Singh.

This program aims to ultimately bring a smile to many more.

The evening was catered by Macallan students and staff, and entertainment of the highest quality was provided.
